Anita Ekberg

Anita Ekberg is a Swedish actress from Sweden. She was in numerous films including European as well as American. Her most well-known role is playing the role of "La Dolce Vita," which was a comedy-drama movie. It was a huge critical and commercial hit, as well being awarded an Oscar at the Cannes Film Festival 1960. Before beginning her acting profession The Swedish-born actress was employed as an international fashion model. She took home in the Miss Sweden competition. In the US, she started appearing in films with small roles. She played the Venusian Guard in 'Abbott & Costello Go to Mars. It was her first film credit. After her role in 'Blood alley her film, she took home the Golden Globe Award for 'Most promising newcomer.' Her work included a variety of films which included the War between Italy and America, as well as the drama film War and Peace, the Western "Valerie," the British crime adventure film The Man Inside and the French/Italian Drama, The Dam on the Yellow River.'
